Mussoorie, Queen of the hills

Mussoorie is a hill station and a municipal board in the Dehradun District of the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is about 35 kilometres (22 mi) from the state capital of Dehradun and 290 km (180 mi) north of the national capital of New Delhi. The hill station is in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range. The adjoining town of Landour, which includes a military cantonment, is considered part of 'greater Mussoorie', as are the townships of Barlowganj and Jharipani.

Mussoorie is at an average altitude of 1,880 metres (6,170 ft). To the northeast are the Himalayan snow ranges, and to the south, the Doon Valley and Shiwalik ranges. The second highest point is the original Lal Tibba in Landour, with a height of over 2,275 metres (7,464 ft). Mussoorie is popularly known as The Queen of the Hills.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Departure

Start for Mussoorie by Bus / Cab in the evening.

Day 2: arrive at Mussoorie

Arrive at Mussoorie and check in the hotel. when a short rest take a looking at trip of Mussoorie. Visit Falls, Lal Tibba, the best purpose in Mussoorie placed within the Landour space. pay your evening at the Mall Road or take a the tramway to Gunhill purpose (on further charge). Gunhill is placed at an elevation of 2122 metres and offers an exhilarating read of the mighty Himalayas and the Doon valley and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Mussoorie sightseeing

After breakfast, visit Kempty Falls, located at placed of 15 kms from Mussoorie and nearly 1364 metres above water level. For those who would like to induce to the foot of the waterfalls, will either take the tramway or the steps. thenceforth visit the corporate Garden that homes colourful flowers and a man-made water. you’ll take lunch at one amongst the restaurants set at the Garden. Evening return to the hotel and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Depart from Mussoorie

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and Day at your leisure until evening. Board Bus / Cab to onward destination.

Popularly called the “queen of the hills”, this wonderful place is famous for its scenic beauty and towering snow clad mountains present awe-inspiring view. This small town of Mussoorie has an atmosphere that is reminiscent of a fairytale. The glittering view of the Doon Valley and the Shivalik range are simply spectacular. The climate at Mussoorie is pretty chilling in the winter. It is however pleasant in summer. The murmur of the cascading waterfalls is charming. The woods in the neighborhood offers a fine hiking trail. It also acts as a wonderful ecological reserve.
